Bruce, I ordered a rebuild kit plus other parts but was wondering if this pin is .002" larger in dia. than stock pin? I hope so cause I had to clean up the hole slightly from a ridge that formed inside the bore.
Is this pin stationary or does it slide in/out?

Does this pin also have to be fitted for length?

Thanks

paul

PS. Check out the thread on the direct drum for what the new stock dia should be. You say it should be .030" of original dia. but no one knows what that is.

Paul, all pins are stock diameter unless you requested otherwise. Your order didn't specify an oversize so you have a stock pin. Let me know if you need the over size and if so, ship that one back and I can send you the .010" oversized one. I will try to get Bruce to give me a drum diameter when I speak with him later today.

Mark, why does Bruce's write-up say that the std 300M anchor pins you supply are .002" over stock dia.?
What is the article referring to then?

Thanks

paul

The stock pin is .002 over for normal wear and to tighten up the factory tolerance. The "oversize" pin is .010 oversize to take care of more than normal case wear. Hope that answers your question Paul, if not give me a call at the shop. Thanks, Mark

Yes Mark, that answers part of my question. I thought that may be the case but had to be sure. The .002 should work out good.

How about the dia. I was asking about?

Thanks again.

paul
