Went to the track last night, car leaves hard outta the hole, almost to hard, pulling 1.8 60ft leaving at 5lbs of boost. But the shift from 1st to 2nd feels like its slipping. Maybe getting hung up...Not sure... Has plenty of fluid and doesn't do it in any other gear. Still the stock 200r4 and D5 convertor. Is there any adjustment I can make or is it time for a new one from Extreme Automatics?

Possibly cavitation. Stock Pan & top feed Filter can allow air to be sucked in during hard launch/accelleration.
Info 3/4 way down page>> THM 200-4R

That sounds exactly what it's doing. Will add another quart of fluid and see what happens. Thx for the info

Also, what type tranny fluid works best in the 200r4?

There're quite a few Threads on here about Trans fluid, one with a few links> http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/transmission-talk/340252-tranny-fluid.html
I'd go with cheap Dex-III fluid untill you find the problem.
Many Builders here recommend the new Dex-VI, if it was a freshly built Trans so would I.

There're a few methods to use a bottom feed 700R4 filter with a stock 2004R pan, search in the Trans section.
Many fill to the Back & Forth bends on the Dipstick, about 1qt. overfull, hot.
