cam break in ?

I will be using a Comp 206/206 flat tappet. Can i use my stock springs with out the dampner for break in ?

You'll be safe using stock spring with the dampers. Even with the dampers they only average 75-80 lbs at installed height.

after some research, looks like using the 980's is fine. They are only 92 seated and 230 open.

............ The stuff i read said any thing under 160 seated and 290 open is fine.

Is that for a FT?

I will be using 980's . They are 92 seated. I took off what i read so no one will think i will be using springs that heavy.
