I have not having any luck at finding a cam sensor for 86 87 without the whole housing , does anyone have source of a vendor or supplier that sells that sensor only ?

If you can't find what you are looking for, I believe Scot @ GNS Performance has a rebuild service... Don't quote me - but I think it's around $75

Yes the cap is what I am talking about not the led cap from Casper's , everybody wants to sell the whole thing not the cap

It's been years since I've bought a cap. Has anybody verified that GM doesn't have them anymore?

You can get the regular cam sensor cap made by tomco on ebay for $45.38 shipped.

The Tomco unit is identical to the factory one. What issues are you having?

If anyone is interested in getting a cam sensor cap only , I found out the Tomco site sells them for $50.18 , here is the part number #22008 and their phone number # is 1 800 325 9972 , I just ordered one for a spare just in case .
