What happens when you have a bad cam sensor, rough idle? pinging when on the pedal? terrible performance? anything else? Thanks Sno-

When mine went bad it wouldnt restart, I had to pedal it to keep running but ran rough.

my cap and wires were bad and it would start cold, when hot it would back fire real bad, all the cam sensor does is let the car know where the no.1 cylinder is...... when the car is started you can on plug it and nothing will happen, but if you turn off the car and try to restart it will not

I had thought that it only mattered when car is first started...but I think its why my car has timing that jerks around and tip in stumble. So i guess ecm uses it while running.
