Does anyone know if i need a special tool to take the cam sensor off, i need to know please. Thank you

No, the cap has two philip (sp) head screws, the unit is held in by a 9/16 or 14mm bolt.

if its just the cap a phillips , sometimes you have to unplug the coolant temp sender , sometimes its in there wrong and you have to rotate the sensor body

i use an old school matco distibutor wrench for the hold down bolt since thats really what it is ..
like this one

eBay Motors: Matco Distributor Wrench 9/16 (item 190287146303 end time Mar-16-09 17:36:57 PDT)

if you have to remove the cam sensor body or spin it youll also want to read this link on how to install and adjust a cam sensor
http://www.vortexbuicks-etc.com/cam sensor.htm

and the caspers cam sensor tool makes things easier but a volt meter will work as well
