They live just fine when set up right and supplied oil. If you run them dry they won't last.

What are you guys finding out is the best way to get oil to the gear - if you have a billet roller without cam supplied oil?Scott,

Many sbc and bbc guys did this into the block cam journal behind the timing gear!A .020 hole in the oil gallery plug does the trick.

Does the hole affect oil pressure? Should I run heavier weight after?It makes no difference what plug gets drilled. Either one will get the job done.
