CAN ANYONE GIVE ME SOME IDEAS OR IS IT TIME FOR A REBUILD?
HERES THE CODITIONS: ENGINE FRESHLY REBUILT SAY 2500 MILES AGO FROM (WILDCAT PERFORMANCE DOWN HERE IN SOUTH GA.) TRANMISSION WAS IN THE CAR WHEN MY BROTHER BOUGHT IT ABOUT A YR. & A HALF AGO SHIFTED FINE AFTER THE REBUILD ALSO IT HAS A NON LOCK UP ART CARR 3400 STALL DONT KNOW WHO BUILT THE TRANS BUT HAS BEEN IN THE LOW 7'S in the 1/8th, BEFORE HE BOUGHT IT..... HE GETS ON IT PRETTY REGULAR ESPECIALLY BACK ROAD RACING. WENT TO THE TRACK FIRST TIME AFTER REBUILD GOT A 7.30 FIRST PASS AND 7.40 SECOND PASS BLAH BLAH BLAH SEVERAL WEEKS LATER WHICH IS NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN
it shifts ok but a little different than my car being non lock up & all mines lock up...
cant remember before but his goes to 2nd after about 3000rpm then 3rd or overdrive at about 3600 rpm then they drop to like 1850rpm or so at 60mph so thats ok at light throttle.
wide open throttle it just revs high and hit the rev limiter so we get out of it
goes back to cruisin as normal.
fluid doesnt smell burnt , levels ok in the s mark..
do he need a rebuild because of the motor just been rebuilt thats what happened to mine aftermy motor was rebuilt probably a month later....
it drives ok on the street just dont go wide open throttle or extremem revs.
heres some pressure checks
min Park & Nuet both at 80psi Max both at 190 bouncing needle
min rev 155 --- max 250
min d4 & d3 80 --- max both at 190
mn d2 &d1 both at 170--- max both at 170
