ok!
this is my problem; (first) I have my tv cable adjusted the way everyone says to, and tranny shifts flare real bad in 2nd to 3rd; I adjust tv cable to fix that problem and I can't get full throttle. Takes 1/4 of my full throttle to be adjusted correctly; seems it is getting the pressure it wants with the tv cable pulled on hard.
can anybody help? what do i need?

I would say adjust it again by pushing the button on the side of the TV cable and opening the TB to WOT, then release to TV button. If it still flares then look into getting the trans freshened up, probably burnt clutches

If its really bad then adjusting the cable a little isnt going to correct it. The TV actually can bottom out before WOT and not bind the throttle since the cable and bracketry will flex a little. Your cable may be worn out at the adjuster. You should be getting max TV at WOT. This can be verified by opening the throttle and tugging on the exposed portion of the cable near the throttle bracket. If there is no slack then your at full TV. Setting the TV tighter will just make the line pressures a little higher at minimum to WOT. It wont help WOT if the TV is maxed out. At this point your best bet is to get some pressure readings, especially while the 2-3 ratio change occurs and post the results here.
