I hate when people give things that get you stuck in a loop.

I'm thinking some sort of Chrysler but I can't put my finger on it. I was thinking a Duster, but it's NOT QUITE. The name is on the tip of my tongue.

It's also a little hard to tell how large those taillights are.

I'm gonna be so mad when you tell us what it is.

Stanley lenses were used on Honda motorcycles in the 70s. I'd be willing to bet they are Honda, model though unknown.

Yep. I'll 2nd that.

In fact I saw one at the racetrack today powered by a 2.6 Starion turbo motor. The Stanley is a giveaway as they are the big player in Japanese head/taillight assemblies.

Just curious if anyone knows what These Taillights are from?

All I know is that they have "Stanley 043-5269 Japan" on them, and that they're more than 10 years old...

:)

Geez Kevin, japanese tailights? You're asking the wrong group! If you showed us jap HEADlights from the perspective of a rear-view mirror, maybe it would ring a bell! :D ;)

call me crazy but i think the chevy monza or pontiac sunbird in 70's to 80's had those they remind me of my 78 TA lights just smaller

I was thinking early 70's Mercurry Capri (German built, not pinto-mustang II ), but that doesn't fit with Japan.

They do seem moparish---------if that's a word.

I second the part about reminding me of a '78 TA, also they aren't from a '78 Olds starfire (Monza body style)

The primary clue in the pic is:

The rear light assemblies ALSO serve as the license plate lamps.

In order for the license plate lamps to be effective, the rear lights would have to be VERY close together.

In order for the rear lights to be so close together, the rear of the car needs to be VERY narrow...as was the case on mini-imports.

The chrome trim/style seems to date them to 70s->mid-80s.

HTH :)

I broke out my book on the 1978 Pontiacs (a dealer guide thats way cool) The Pontiac Sunbird in 1978 taillights look very similar, but it only shows a picture of the Sunbird Formula which might I add came with a 3.8 v6 and an available 5 speed manual floor shift

I don't think those were G/M tailights.
I used to own a Monza hatchback 2+2.
I had all those cars tailights memorized.

I don't think GM either, found some old sunbird pics, edges of the taillights are angled like the firebird's, and no license plate lighting (and spaced WAY to far apart)...

Some very old rice I think...

Now that might make a cool convertion to turbo:)
