Can I run Direct Scan on my Home PC--How

Well I bought a ME-R setup and for the high price I also got a laptop that doesnt work ,,so I tried to make sure DS disc is good by inserting it in my "A" driveof my home pc,,doesnt do anything,is my disk good ,,please tell me how to run this so I know if my disk is good....
I know the laptop dosent do squat...

Make a folder for it, on the hard drive.
Then copy the disc, to that folder.
Right click on the .exe file, and hit create shortcut.

Then double click on short cut and it should run.

That should work on the older systems, ie 95, 98.

using windows XP,,

Here is what I have tried to do..
Go to start
then "my Computer"
place disk in 1.44 floppy
the click on Floppy icon double click

waits 30sec then it tells me the disk is not formatted..So I click "NO" of course
Has the Direct Scan sticker on it,so it seems Authentic...

is this disk no good..

Just download the newest version ( 1.52 ) of Direct Scan from here:

And make your own disk. Anybody can DL the software.
