Hey guys, i have searched the back posts for hours, and found TONS of info on the moog springs. but 98 % of the info, had to do with the front springs, namely the 5660, 5662, and 5664s. I think im going to purcahse a set of 5662 springs, and then clip em for the desired ride height. BUT, my tail end sits up to high, and i want some springs that match the fronts, probably moogs, but i want em trimmable so i can lower it down how i want. i cant go by buying some of these lowering springs, because i dont know how much they drop it. any info on this will be appreciated. thanks

You cant cut them but you can take threaded rod and put them in an oven for 15 min at 450 and lower that way. I have done several works good.

what do you mean by the threaded rod?? if i take em off, and i put em in the oven for about 15 minutes at 450, then it will make em sag and lower the car? about how much lower does it make the car? or should i do this a few times to get the right drop. i want aobut a 1 to 1.5 inch realistic drop. will this screw up my handling? thanks

Take the threaded rod and 2 plates and use it to shorten the free standing height say about one inch. Heat in the oven with the threaded rod in place at 450 for 15 min and let cool. You will have reduced the free standing height and also the loaded height. When you removed the fixture they will not go back to the stock length. Shorten in small steps it works. Heating will take some of the life out of the spring my rear springs on the drag car last about 3 or 4 years before I noticed any changes. It works for me and is just an idea. The spring rate per inch will not change so should not make a major affect on handling.
