can someone suggest a turbo for my application?

In a previous thread here, my PT54 took a dump on me and Precision wants $700 to rebuild it....no freakin way. So I am in the market for a new turbo. The car has all of the mods listed in the signature, I use it mainly for being a terror on the street, with the occasional run to the track. I will be looking into a different alky setup also, but that's another story.

What is the best turbo for this setup, and I hopefully will not have to spend a billion dollars on getting this thing back on the road

I just bought a CPT61bb from cottons. Jack told me if I had the heads done to go with the CPT66bb. I think the 66 would work REAL good with your set up. I paid $1200.00, I think the 66 is the same price(if your looking to spend that much?) I also believe it has a 1 year warr. on the turbo! mine should be here today. HTH.

Call Full Throttle and get a price on the billet wheel 6265. They are making slightly more power than the non billet 6765's.

Just bought PT6262 from G-Body, this thing is unbelievable compared to my PT52, plus Brian gave me a really sweet deal. This turbo will surely not disappoint you, trust me!!! Several people told me to save the extra $$$ and go with the journal bearing, that it wouldn’t make but a little difference in spool-up. Trust me the journal has NO problems with spool-up. Doesn’t sound as cool DBB but still pulls like an animal. Read some of the threads on the new 62 billet wheel series turbo, that’s pretty much what, sold me and G-body‘s great deal. Plug for Brian

For 599.00 I don't think you could go wrong with the 6031 or spend the extra cash for the new 6262 Billet wheel turbo.

Isn't the 6076 the same as a 61, which is the same as a PT54?

I have a stock turbo with 140,000 miles on it that I'll sell to you cheap. Might even throw in an old PCV valve and a set of used spark plugs.:smile:
