Can someone tell me if this is a turbo car VIN#?

I only have the first 11 numbers of the VIN# IG4G511A2HP, IS THIS A TURBO V6? T.I.A

I dont think so. I think the 7th number in the vin should be a 7. What year car is it?

The 8th digit is the engine code. The turbo engine is a 9 for a 1986 model and a 7 for a 1987 model. Hope that helps....

I think the A is for an NA 3.8. Non turbo, but it is a 3.8

Presuming it is a Regal.

10th digit is year and 1980=A....1987=H

8th digit is A for 3.8 NA and 4 for 4.1. Turbo 3.8 are 3,8,9, or 7 depending on year.

5th digit is model. K= T Type, J = base, M = limited. (5 is wrong)

This is a 1987 3.8 NA Regal.

Thanks guys for the info, it is a NA 1987 3.8 Regal. I only had a side view picture of the car from the back . It had all the black moldings.
