can u put an intercooler on a hot air car?

this is my first experience with a turbo car, and i was curious if you could put an intercooler on an 85, hot air car, also if any body knows where i can get some good aftermarket parts any help would be appreciatated, thanks,

Spearco makes a kit. It can be done in a day if you're good. There's a huge difference in power, a good intercooler alone brings the hotair's performance pretty close to a stock 86-87 car. ATR, Kenne-Bell, Postons, and a bunch of others make parts for the hotair. Start off with a Walbro 340 fuelpump, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, K&N, and a good chip. I don't have any phone numbers or websites, but there's a lot of people on here that can help you out.

you sure can. There a few options out there for an IC. Do a search here on the board and you will find a ton of info.

There are a good deal of buick vendors, not all cater to the 84/85 but some carry some parts for us and others are universal...you'll find them in the vendor section and typically mentioned in a thread if it is talking about a certian part.

I am about 5 minutes from NKU. Where AA Highway ends at US 27



We should hook up, I am working on an intercooler conversion kit with a fabricator in Louisville.

I am also sort of president of the Tri-State turbo club, or so they tell me.

yeah thats cool, like i said this is my first turbo regal and im really just learning as i go, but its cool to know that so many people are into these cars, i let you know when i start tearing into mine, gotta sell another car first !!
