Well I went to the track tonight ran a couple of times, took my girlfriend home, hung out then left for home.I get about 5 minutes from her house and I hit a freakin deer! And of course I was driving my grand national.Well I destroyed the header panel, hood and passenger fender.Anyone who can help me with finding the parts I need to put in back together I would really appreciate it.Well I guess I need to contact the insurance company. The car is still drivable but man I am really bummed.

That bites!

Just this morning, cruising to work 75 mph on the 4-lane in the GN, there was a very large doe standing on the shoulder staring at me. I stood on the binders hard and luckily the deer turned tail and bolted into the adjacent field.

That would have doubly sucked if I hit it as I'm leaving for the Power Tour in a couple hours.

Good luck getting your GN repaired.

Have a good time on the Power Tour! I wish I was going this year but it wasn't in the cards, maybe next year. On every PT we went on, '98,'99,'01,'02, there was at least 1 car with deer damage so be careful and take lots of pics.:D

Talked to Brian weaver at gbody parts.Sounds like a good guy to deal with.Looks like he has all the parts I need. Now waiting for the adjuster to come out. Thanks for all the help guys.Kinda nice to know you got a car that can hit a deer at 60 m.p.h. and still drive it 20 miles to get home.I bet if I were in my 2002 grand am I would not have been so lucky.Later
