Cant download pics from my Camera

Ok ,I have about 600 pics on my machine so I can do it provided the program open for me,I have a GateWay DC T50 digital, I leave the USB cord plugged into the camera all the time,so I go to plug in my camera and turn it to PC and turn it to the ON position,this is when the program is suppossed to "pop" up on my screen,well I can hear the "DING" where it tells me its there ,,but the screen jkust stays the same,so I cant cleck "next" to proceed to download,,,what do I do....

Can you try accessing the device under My Computer? I have to do that with mine on occasion, although it is a different camera. Also, congrats on your new baby.
 
When your camera is plugged in and you're running windows xp, a lot of the time you can simply open "Windows Explorer" or even "my computer" and look for the drive that is assigned to your camera. A lot of the time its drive E, F or G. Look in the folders on your camera, and copy and past the pictures to a folder on your C drive.
 
you guys are great,,I did find it that way,a little harder but it works....but my friggin camera battery just died from trying so many time the other way...well time to recharge and get them up later..

Sorry ,I see I need to proof read before I hit "SEND",,,Well I keep the USB pluged into my Computer all the time,not the camera,,just fixing that so some understand my engrish better :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :p :)

Curious, are you using the media that came with the camera or from some other manufacturer? On my Sony DSC-F717, if I use the original Sony media, their software will open every time I plug in the USB cable. If it's my SanDisk stick, the software will never open up by itself.
