Well I emailed them about a week ago wondering about the price for them to build my transmission. I have yet to get the email back and was wondering if I was just filtered out by their email since my email is with Yahoo. Is there any way I can get into direct contact with them? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmmm he's a bit farther than what I thought.

I just got a tranny from him, should be here any moment... and I am a hell of a lot further then you

I'll let you know how it works

Vinny does all my tranny's, and has for the last 6-7 years. Very good people to deal with.

Wel I was just hoping it would only be like a 2 hour drive so I wouldn't have to ship it. I have a friend locally who can do the work and speciallizes in T350 and T400 trannies and has done a few 200r4s. I was just hoping if Janis was prettty close I could take it to him since he specializes in the 200r4.

STOP!

Go to Vince. One of none. And a gentleman.

Most people don't know their azz from a hole in the ground when it comes to a 2004R, no matter how much they know about garden variety 350s and 400s.

Go to Vince and save yourself a world of pain.

You heard it here. And if you don't, remember I said so.

The drive would be well worth it. Vince is a great guy and knows 200 4R's inside out. Nothing against your 350/400 guy, but many good trans guys don't care to do, or aren't experienced enough to do all the things that need to be done to make a unit that takes the punishment they get in use.

Also in Ohio is Lonnie Diers, he is another great 200 4R guy and will do you right. Either way, you won't be sorry.

I second that one
I have 1 question for you, how many times do you read on this board that some had there tranny done, & it screwed up!!
******************TAKE IT TO JANNIS******************
you get what you pay for

Vince is a geat guy. Builds one hell of a tranny too.

If you take it to someone that "builds TH350's and TH400's" you WILL regret it.

I don't think Vince does emails very well...you need to call him directly and talk to him. I had my tranny done by him in the fall of 03' and it's still shifting like it's brand new...I drove about 500 miles to drop my tranny off and had it rebuilt by him...I haven't regretted one mile (well except when I got pulled over for speeding!!!)

I will take my tranny back to him again if and when this thing goes out again...

I had Vince do my tranny also. I took it to Bowling Green and gave it to him there. All i can say is Vince Janis is the man when it comes to building transmission. It's well worth the couple of hour drive.

Absolutely worth the drive!! I had my tranny built and was extremely pleased with the results.

hey yall you think he's got the hint where to take his tranny?
if he don't we don't wan't to here ANY CRYING!

I'm going to call Wince this week and get an estimate. I might have to wait a little longer but I'm pretty sure I will take it to him. We'll just have to make a road trip to drive it out there. Thanks for all the positive comments towards him. That helped me decide that I would definatley take it to him.

Very wise decision!! :D When you walk into his shop and see the clean checkered floor and Turbo Regals everywhere, you'll be glad you made the drive.
