Really cool! In the 87 brochures they have some cars I bet there weren't too many of..............look at the Regal Limited with Exterior Sport Package and Wire Wheel Covers .......Never seen one of those

Great find! I been collecting brochures since the early Eighties and it's neat to see the older ones that were out there.

323GTX cool screen name and scarce, underappreciated car! Got one?

I used to, I have a Capri now, same as in that brochure link...

I see you have been a member for almost 10 years as well. Time fly's huh?

Looking at the cars in your signature, you would probably appreciate my previous daily driver. It was a 90 Olds Touring Sedan, bought it in 2003 with 100k and sold it in 2008 with 150k. Never had a problem with it. Original motor, trans, radiator, etc. Cost $29,000 new, I paid $2300, sold it for $1800. Best car I ever owned.

323GTX, that Olds looks like it was a sweet cruiser. I remember they shared the rims with the Trofeo back in the day. And wow, that dash has a lot of buttons!

Regarding your current ride, a good friend of mine still has an '85 Capri 5.0/5 sp (black/gray) that he purchased new. There was some confusion over the badging as his is a GS like the '86 cars, not an RS shown in the brochure.

I loved that, very aircraft like, and they all worked too! :)

Interesting you bring that up. Here is the low-down that few people know...

1. 79-84 = RS was performance model & GS was luxury model
2. 1985 = They started putting GS badges on the RS cars. This was the only year they did this. So basically the car is unofficially an RS/GS
3. 1986 = This was the final year, no badges, but still has the RS and GS models offered
4. Canada used the RS name to the end of 1986

Confusing indeed.
