Will be up against 06 GTO with mods, and 02 Trans Am ? I changed TA49 to TE 61 and pts 9/11 3200 340 pump plugs gaped at .042 Went 12.40 with TA49. Have scanmaster perimeters set at. 24# alky
1. 144
2.128
3.132
4.136
42.5 injectors and turbo tweek chip

Is that a good place to start?

Yeah, what they said. .032-.030 is a good number.

Every car's fuel needs are different. I'd start rich and lean it out. Watch the mph not the et as much for power gains. Some cars like more fuel than others.

Good luck!

good luck , youll need it without any signs of working up the tune before hand and challenging another car (well two pontiacs) at the track

what was the boost you ran for the 12.4 slip ? did you fix the trans issues or just the converter
and what was the reason for the 1.9 60

if this was at 24# i can see the posts on the internet already how a gto and a ta spanked a GN

on your chip settings for the 5.6TT
144/128/132/136
is the chip burned for the 49 or the 61?

144 good start for wot ..start rich work back , but you need to work the boost up not just go at it with 24# and see if she'll hold.. by increasing WOT 16 clicks you also increase 1st gear the same , you have 1st fuel at 128 which is now also the same 16 clicks (12% or so) richer than as eric sent it , this may lead to slow spoolup and lousy 60' from all the fuel so dont expect much on the launch until you experiment with dropping it back down toward base
as a rule what you add in wot you must remove from 1st to return 1st back to base or 112 if wot is 144, if chip was burned for the 49 I might try add 5% over what i had run before with the 49 turbo again start rich and work back , ive had cars go 1.7x's and then after retweaking the 1st fuel to actual base (take out whatever was added by wot) go 1.52s , thats why eric put 1st gear fuel control in the chip

you also upped the timing 1-2 by a little and 3-4 by over 2degrees, timing should only be upped once you reach your boost you want to stop at and have the fueling sorted out for best mph with zero kr

Gap the plugs at .30-.32, set base fuel pressure at 42-43, set alky knob(assuming AlkyControl/razor) at 7, leave the chip at the defaults, and launch at 3-4lbs of boost. You should be pretty close right from the start. Just keep an eye on your knock. You may see some false knock on the shfits. Otherwise I have found the setting above to work well for me right from the start. You can tweak from there.

Back from Track......

Made two passes and was rained out. I went early to make a pass or two before the other guys showed up. first pass was with the setting that i have listed, 2nd pass i removed fuel from wot.
to 139. the car was a dog at the start, iT came off the line better with the ta 49, about 1psi is all i could hold with vac brakes. which was all i was holding with the ta49 what should i adjust now?? Scamaster was reading 812 when i crossed the finsh line no knock. the other car that i was lined up with was a new 6.1 Hemi Challenger. that made it worth the trip.

Hey Bill, did you lock the convertor? Picks up 20mph from the 1/8th to the 1/4, so i would assume it wasnt locked.
Go from a 1.85 sixty foot , to a 1.60 and 11.7s are going to be easy. 11.4s are right around the corner if we get to lock the convertor and play with the fueling in the chip.

Call me sometime, i have 4 days off starting this thursday:biggrin:
