A buddy of mine just bought a clean, low mile 87 GN and was asking me if I had a car transporter that I recommend. I only know one guy who uses that type of service and he has had problems. Anyone have someone they have had fantastic experience with? My buddy has been wanting a GN for probably 20 years now and finally pulled the trigger. I don't want a crappy shipping company to screw up his dream.

Thanks!

Depends on how highly he values the car and how important it is to him that it get there in exactly the same condition it leaves in. If these things are VERY VERY important to him, then Reliable Transport is the only way to go. But......$$$$$

11k mile bone stock GN and he wants to keep it that way. Yeah...he values it. ;) He will go ape crap if the slightest thing goes wrong too. Do you guys have personal experience?

Reliable,I think they are the major transporter for Barrett-Jackson if that tells you anything.

I have lots of experience with Passport. They are top notch. Look them up online.

When I was a younger lad (mid 70'S) I worked for the late Tom Barrett as a lot jockey on his private collection of cars in Paradise Valley. Some of you might recognoze his son, Craig Barrett's name.

Mr. Barrett senior used Passport exclusively for his own cars.

Now days they haul a lot of cars for the Penske Scottsdale 101 Collection, where I work as a manager. I invite you to check out the brands we sell, it will tell you Passport knows what they are doing and they do it right.

Reliable also hauls quite a few cars for us and for Barrett- Jackson

Both are excellent.

If your friend doesn't have any time constraint then he might save some money on using a service that can put his requirements into a central database and wait for an offer.
I used All State Auto Transport (712) 299-1669 to find an enclosed transport with an opening from Pittsburgh to Houston within a few weeks. I started out at a lower offering price and had to raise it some to get what I wanted.
Allstate charges a fixed amount for the service. They found a transport from AutoTransExperts.com that did a very nice job of moving my Regal Turbo to Houston. They had good tracking and communication along the way.

I did this same thing about two months ago.I was getting so many phone calls(about 30-40 a day)I had to stop answering any calls from out of town and the ones I did talk to wanted money up front which is a big no-no.To this day I still get a couple a week trying to transport the car that i've had since a week after this.I will never go this route again. This all started with me putting my info in with USHIP on their website and then they sell your info to everyone else.Don't make the same mistake I did!!!!
