Car went to Mustang Dyno

Just brought my car to the Mustang Dynamometer by my house ( Kaltech ) . Car did 3 pulls car made a best of 536 HP and 710 Lbs torque , the other runs were 536hp/685tq 526hp/676tq on the best pull it made and average 493hp through the test .........i was kinda hopping for over 600 in the HP range but i guess the numbers are good . Brian the operator said they call it the "Heart breaker dyno " i was thinking maybe i should try the .85 housing i have a .63 on my 6776BB turbo ......boost @29- 30 psi / C -16 ........no nitrous

So you made several pulls at 536, 536 an 526 yet you averaged 493? That doesn't make any sense. This all at 29-30 psi? How much timing? I would have thought at 30 psi on C-16 you would have been well into the 600 range.

That's approximately 630 fwhp and 835 fwtq. That's pretty good numbers. Now take it to the track and see what kind of numbers it will actually pull. Mustangs are known for lower numbers. My brother dynod his TSM car on one, something was wrong with the dyno, and the numbers were only showing something in the low 300 hp range. I think it was halving the numbers. Anyway, the car went out and pulled mid 9s at the track.

You stated ur car made (3) pulls at 536, 536, 526. Those average out to 532. You also stated on the best pull it made 493 through the test

Maybe the 493rwhp is a "corrected" average.

Im pretty sure it means he made 493hp on average throughout the whole RPM band on a given pull... not peak power. so take the HP at 3000rpm, 3250, 3500...etc. all the way to when the dyno run ended and average the HP numbers out... his came to 493HP. make sense?
