car wouldnt shut off today

took car to body shop to get appraisal on filler paint and install,the engine wouldnt stop.got home and had to pull orange wire by battery off.turned key off and all my gauge lights stayed on.disconnected battery neg,all went off.replaced cables on battery and ignition worked fine.start stop.any ideas?ignition switch maybe?

yeah i never had that problem before,the more i think about it ive got a turbo timer,kinda think thats my problem.it seems to act like the timer is controlling it.anyone have a schematics for one?it was on my car when i bought it.

That's what a turbo timer is supposed to do, you turn off the key and the car keeps running supplying oil to the turbo until it cools enough then shuts the engine off...not something I'm a fan of.

that it is but it dosnt or isnt supposed to do anything while the timer is off,at least it never did before.it only ran the motor while i put a time in it.does it have a sensor i dont know about?thats why i could use a cut sheet.
