So does this mean this car is actually just a t-type? He's selling it as a Grand National. What can I do to find out if the odometer has actually been rolled back or not? I'm really interested in this car but after seeing this it's really making me think twice about buying it. What should I do?

Grand National was a "package" available on T-Types for 84 and possibly 85, so don't be too scared by that. Check the RPO sticker in the trunk lid, assuming it's still there. Run those codes over at http://gnttype.org to see what they come up as. The odometer could just be because it's over 100,000. Probably nothing to be afraid of either...

Yeah, like a LOT. I wonder if he got screwed by someone.
 
I don't think he knew the car actually had 144k on it. He showed me an emissions statement from 2001 in which it stated the car had 36000 on the clock not 136000. That's a bad deal, i was really hoping this would be an original 44k mile car. thanks for the help

Very interesting.. Thanks for everyone's input on my buick... The shape the car is seems to tell the story, along with the emissions statement I have and the mileage on the inspections in this car fax report all point to being a low mileage car.. Why there was a 72K in there Im still not sure of, and personally dont care.. The car is rust free inside and out.. stock springs are still riding at stock ride height, and all trunk, and floors are clean and rust free.. The car's been converted completely by me over to the IC setup. All sorts of upgrades.. I didnt think 5500 was a bad price on the car for being converted with upgrades and rust free

No one was trying to bash on your car or anything don't take it the wrong way. But from what I saw on that carfax it looked like it was well maintained by the original owner and rolled over the 100,000 mile marker. I'm was really interested in buying your car(or buying a TR in general), but because of bad past experiences I need to be extra careful and get the right car for myself. Here's a few reason I would have thought that the car was rolled over: the paint is stripped and primed, the interior is completely redone, the heads were completely redone, and it's a 18 year old car. Here's why I believe it is an original 44k car:the body is completely rust free, you bought it from the original owner, the window seals and all of the weather stripping looks good, the underside looks good. I still may have been interested in the car but you recently told me that you decided to keep the car right before I could say anything about it. But I figured I should let you know you could have been screwed. Anyways, have fun with the car, and let me know if there are any other good deals up there.
