Just bought a 87 TT and need a catalytic converter to pass inspection. I know alot of guys get rid of these. Hoping to get one cheap.

I got one that i bought from ATR (hi flow performance) i think that was the name of it....I bought it also just to pass emissions...it only have less than 10 miles on it...$75 + shipping

couple things scrap values on factory cats is really high !!!!!! i scrapped 5 in the last 2 weeks and i got between $100-$110 EACH i ended up with $520 for 5 factory cats. trip 1 i brought 3 in and it was $300 trip 2 i brought 2 in and they went up to $110 eachx2 = $220


do you need a cat for a factory downpipe or bigger?????

my cat below is a brand new atr high flow cat for factory downpipe. i got this in a deal with a brand new atr exhaust system a couple years ago.the exhaust i used this is is still new. $150 plus $15 shipping

Im not sure the size of the downpipe. The previous owner appeared to have taken the Cat out at the and replaced it with blank at the exhaust pipe underneith the passenger door area. I didnt see the cat so i assumed that blank replaced it. it is a aftermarket exhaust

Take a pic of the down pipe in the area where it meets the turbo/ elbow. Exhaust has nothing to do with the downpipe size
