****AMW's catch can is what I and many others have on their cars. I used to have problems with oil getting sucked into the plenum intake area, and it probably contributed to all of the carbon deposits on my intake valves, and piston tops which was giving me knock at lower and lower boost levels than before.

Anyway, I ended up buying the AMW can, and using some GM top engine cleaner to clean TONS of gunk out of the motor, and everything has remained clean since. I empty the can every couple of hundred miles or so, it's no where near full, but a few teaspoons usually come out - oil that would have ended up fouling up my plugs and making a mess in the plenum intake area.

Those that have one will tell you it is VERY well thought out and machined. Like just about everything very well made, it's not some $15 trinket that doesn't work. I think I paid like $90 for mine at the time - they've raised the price since then, probably because it works so well that they can..

You could always just plug the PCV hole with a little K&N filter as others have done, but I personally think that looks ghetto, and unless you hide it somehow, you won't pass visual emmissions inspection if you have to go through that. I have had Moroso, and other companies cans on other cars, but this thing simply works, and I'm happy with it. I also run mine with a PCV check valve inline to keep boost from leaking into the crankcase, but that was to take care of another problem I had (oil leaks)...

****Maybe someone else will chime in about the Summit can. I've never heard of anyone saying the AMW system didn't do exactly what they are supposed to do. There have been other threads with respect to other setups, and people ended up buying all sorts of products trying to save some $$$, only to continue to have the same problem.

I've been around cars long enough where I've made enough mistakes trying to save money, only to end up spending more down the line to fix the original problem, and sometimes other problems that ended up cropping up because I didn't fix it right the first time.

Trying to save money is fine, and if $$ are a problem, just put a little filter in the PCV hole like others do, and eliminate the factory setup. Lots of others have done this, dunno if it causes problems down the line, etc.. I guess it depends on how much oil you had going into the intake area, and how bad you want it to stop.

I got the AMW can after reading about it on their site, and from feedback from others who have one on this, and other TurboBuick sites. I like it, and am glad I bought it. It's really well made, and does what it's supposed to do.

Hope this helps
