I work nights so no chance to call but I have emailed them twice an no reply!!!! This tranny is a harden part trans brake tranny that is awesome . But I have a column shift car an I hear its hard to use the trans brake with one but I don't know cause I do not know how to use the trans brake..... Any help would be great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not certain of what you're asking, but I'll give it a shot;) . If you have a tranny from Century Trans with a transbrake, this is how it operates:

1) Bring car to COMPLETE STOP.

2) Pull shift lever down into 1st gear -- this 'sets' the transbrake
***NEVER shift to 1st while the car is moving***

3) Bring boost and rpm's up to where you want to launch from

4) Push shifter up into 2nd or 3rd gear -- this releases the brake

Enjoy:cool:

OK

Ye sI am asking how to use the tranny brake in my Century tranny??? SO let me get it straight!!

1> Put car in 1 st gear
2> Bring up to whatever boost PSI I want to leave on
3> An @ this point shift into 3rd or 2nd gear "which is it??"an hold on , cause I just released the trans brake. I would think it would be 3rd case that s the gear the 1/4 will end in!!!

Thanks Man

Shifting into any gear other than 1st will release the brake. On my car, I shift into 2nd and then manually shift into 3rd at 5,300 rpm's. If you shift into 3rd, the trans will automatically upshift at whatever rpm your governor is set for (probably ~5,000).
