No it is not a common problem with 8445 cast iron heads. Also as he didn't mention but if they were maged ?? castings won't show up as cracks. If they are indeed cracked I wouldn't run them even if they were repaired. I don't blame you Steve as I don't like or trust repaired crap on my expensive short blocks. The seller should just take them back and give a FULL refund period !! Just my 2 cents worth.??
