Change the boost controler ?

I am changing from an internal waste gate to an external type. Do I need to make any changes to my boost controller ?

It is a Getty electronic type.

Probably. How do you have the lines set up?

First I would run the boost line direct to the side port and see what the base boost is. Also to check for creep.
A lot of times the wg hole in the turbine housing needs some porting to control boost correctly with external gate pipe. Get the base boost stable then add the controller to the mix.
