I also noticed that in one of the shots of the floor pan interior theres a master cylinder and transmission crossmember, that crossmember is from a thirdgen F body

I would be surprised if it was the same part on a second gen

Actually that was the way a legitimate IMSA GT car would have looked like back in the late 70's. Maybe the Trans Am race cars used that same body kit. I'm going to dig through the archives as I can recall some big names racing Firebirds and Camaros back than. Really wild stuff. Gives new meaning to the term "disco". I'll post some pictures if I can find some.

I was thinking the same thing. Excellent movie. I can't believe how none of the young'uns that I work with have never seen it.
