Checkball #5 leave out?

I was just looking at ATSG and it recomends to leave out checkball #5 for the TV. Anybody agree or disagree with this?

and leave out the hairclip and spring if the TV ball is the #5 ball you are referring to.

The ball is 55N I beleive.

What'll happen if I don't leave out that clip and spring? Tranny is already together and I just left out the checkball.

Less weight, of course.

Really though, I don't see that it matters either way with the ball gone myself.
