I just bought another dually...a 92 Chevy Crew cab and im wanting to upgrade the headlight assemblys. Anyone here wanna offer advice on what they have tried?

Thanks,
Russ

Don't get projector headlights, they basically just put stuff in the way of the beam to make it look cool aesthetically but the lights themselves suck.

The ones to get are the TYC lights . They come in 2 models. The clears ricer style ones and the diffused style, almost like stock but much better.

What does TYC stand for? Got a link to any sites to get them by chance? My factory lenses are showing their age and I figure this would be a good way to help the looks of the truck along with getting more light on the road.

Thanks,

I dont know what it stands for. I do know that they make the best of the knock off lenses. Lots of guys have them over in Fullsize chevy .com

Go to the group buy section. There is a expired group buy over there.... But the place is still honoring the discount code. I just ordered 2 headlights and 2 turn signals for my Suburban for 165.00 shipped! That is an awesome price..

My factory lenses are shot and there is no fixing them either.

if you can just replace the bulbs go with hyper whites they offer up alot of light over stock and they dont blind the crap out of the person coming at you  . Harry

Harry,
Unfortunately our lenses are basically shot. It wont matter what bulb we put in them. When I get mine im going to install the fancy Sylvanias in there and be done. No matter what it should be 10 times better than the headlights on there now.

Louie...

Has the Lighting been retired??

Mike,
The L has been gone for about 2 years now. I should have kept it for what I sold it. I then coudlnt stand driving our spare Honda civic to work. So i fixed up the T Type I currently drive. But in all honesty we needed the Burban to haul the race car and all the stuff necessary to keep a 3 year old happy.Other than the trans, which i had re built close to bullet proof, :) the Burban has been an great truck.

I'm sure it's more comfortable with the family, and plenty of room for any additions to the family.... :D

My wife and I have had everything from cars to an Excursion with our family, thank god it's passed. Now if I can only find a parking spot around the house I'll be happy. She got a Saturn Red Line Vue now and loves it, I think the size suites her.
