yes just got an 84 and want to put the 86-87 ECM need the chip for 60 injectors for the conversion thanks all stock 84 hot air .

stock 84/85 MAF, I presume.

TurboTweak may have a chip for that, I have done them as well. But you might want to consider upgrading the MAF while your doing the swap

Yes was reading on that also cause from reading the 84 maf doesn't work well with the 8687 ECM . Eric just answerd one of my emails as to what I should do with it . Just got this car and want to try to get it running smooth and from what I am reading that's where to start then I can use the scanmaster and power logger .

the 84/85 MAF would work fine if the chip is programmed for it, but its somewhat of a half-step. Just make sure whoever does your chip has all the info

Honestly I would recommend a plain ole translator and an LS1 MAF.

If you run the hotair MAF to save a few bucks, you'll have to spend the money for a new chip when you want the 86/87 MAF.

Those flakey stock type MAFs have had their run and now they've moved on to either dying all the time or causing screwy running conditions that make you wan to pull your hair out.
