Guys,

I needed to replace my Stockers (Injectors) as I was getting WAY to lean up top, and found a good deal from a fellow board member on these injectors. Now... I realize that not too many folks have these, but can I get a GOOD idle & Drivability on these
with a simple injector constant reset to 38#'s??? Are they good on the top end???

Does ANYBODY have these out there......

38#? Maybe the reason it's such a GOOD deal is becuase they arent' that good of an Injector?? I can honestly say I don't know of one person running them. I'm sure there are some tho. Sometimes a good deal isn't worth the aggrevation. Buy a set of 36s or go straight to 50s.

Joe, your correct, although thier aleady here, sitting on my desk,
and I'm OUT the money, sooo.., IF they can be made to work, I'd like to use them! At least for now!

I have some, they work fine. Any of the chip guys can make you a chip for them. They are the modern replacement for the old 40# redstripe. Just resetting the constant to a 38# injector will get it close, but not all the way there.

I had a set of them in and they worked great. I had a 100k mile set of stockers which got replaced and the difference was night and day. Good idle and driveability..

They went with the car when i sold it. In fact, i've still got about 8 or 10 chips left for them.

I also had a set..along with a TA49...great injectors. As was mentioned before just have them burn a chip for red stripe injectors.

BTW a thrasher 108 for blue tops works great with them

Red stripes are about the best injector going by far from my expirience. Snappy. Great milage. Great idle.
I assume the 38's are the same thing.

Same experience here with my GN along with the Trans + and Extender chip. I also have a used set to put into the T. Both my sets of 40s have a green stripe on them (no, they are not greenstripes).

Eventually I want to upgrade to the TA49 or TE44, so that is something for you to think about. Myself, I want to stop in the high 11 range. I think these injectors are good to mid 11, although I'm sure some have gone faster.

Steve, I will have a MaxEffort for the 40s in the T someday :)

Guys,

Thanks for the feedback, I was fairly sure they would work out O.K.! Especially now that Steve Wood and some other TR vetrans have chimed in!

Thanks

Brian

Get the part # and double check them. They also make a slightly smaller injector that some other people I have done chips for have run. Either way they are good injectors, just make sure of what you have before you get a chip for them.

Double check the last number on that it should be 037 not 039...I think I still have the part numbers for lucas injectors at the house...when I get home I will double check

Bob

I think you need to check the first number (5) also. I just removed a set of these because I upgraded to 55# injectors. My injectors had #621037, #D3165AA.

Jay Carter made a VT chip(s) for me which worked great. Ran my best time with stock turbo and unopenned engine with these.

Nick Micale sent these to Chuck Leeper for flow test. They came in at 36#/hr.

Yup just got the old lucas fax out and it shows 62 1037 are 37.27 lbs per hour at 3.0 bar of pressure. (1 bar=14.5 psi)

I ran 37# injectors with conley mini mag chip and it was good enough to go 11.9 @115.0 and drove well on the street.
