I just got a Cardone refurbished brake booster to make my vacuum brake swap. The unit was bead blasted and ready for paint but appears to have a light coat of oil on it. What is the best way to clean it prior to painting. I was just going to wipe it down with brake cleaner. Will that be sufficient or do I need to wash it with Dove or some other soapy cleaner which I think could cause me rust issues I do not have at the moment.
