I'm planning to replace driverside seat foam. Seatcovers still good condition but just dirty from years of wear. Wanted to know what's best way to clean them. Has anyone tried placing in washer under delicate gentle cycle? In past I have done this with my kids baby car seat covers and hung dried - stains gone, came out looking good.
Thanks in advance.

I've washed seat covers from a later model car in the wash with some oxy clean and had no issues. Not sure if the 25+ year old fabric can handle it or not. Might just try some simple green, a nylon brush and some clean towels to be safe.

Thanks for the reply. I'll do that first before removing cover to change foam. Better safe than sorry. On YouTube someone use diluted woolite with a soft brush on cloth Recaros.
