Is every aspect of the shaft made on the lathe?

What kind of make/model is that lathe?

No,the lathe is the first phase.Then it goes in the 5 axis vertical mill for the spline cutting and cross drilling.It can spline the first side in 2 minutes and then,spline , center drill and drill all the transverse oil holes in the second in 6 minutes.Both of the machines used here are HAAS,and we also have a third Haas but it doesnt get used for this as it is for much larger pieces.
