I have stock a stock MAF connected to a big mouth cold air setup, and the MAF sits next to a stainless upper radiator pipe which lets off a bunch of heat and as i was drive the check engine light went on a the system displayed a CODE 34 - Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF) - Low Reading. Do you think the heat from the rad pipe could have caused this? Going to try to knock it tomorrow at idle and see if it changes behavior at all. Just strange wonder if its the heat, the ducting or just a bad MAF. The code displayed fast and just went away and then came back later about 30 min and flashed quick and went away.

Any ideas?

Don't wait....

to long to replace it, a 34 mile tow can get expensive! And what would be worse is to be left at the mercy of a chop shop!

Just wonder if there is still an option to find a new MAF out there or a rebuilt one you can trust.

To find a new one would be a rare and archaeological find.

You might find a good used one but you would be so much better off to go with a translator and a lt1 or ls1 maf.

If I go down the translator path do I need to have the TT chip revised to support the change?
