Code 41

Driving to buds house aand all of a sudden check engine light comes on for 3-5 secs, Scanmaster shows code 41. Went to archives and pulled up all code 41 posts. Checked all possiblilities on the posts. no luck. car runs okay on street and it did not code again rest of the day. Took it to the track and the car did not sputter or pop with race gas and slicks, but it was off .6 and 8MPH from last year. Any ideas???

Code 41 = cam sensor failure, so if your injector timing is off, it might explain your fall-off in performance.

What specifically have you checked so far? Sounds like you might have a weak sensor...
