Direct Shows lean exhaust...

My WOT blasts have the 02 around 760-780 via the DS! So how do I have a lean exhaust????

Although this code is onthe Scanmaster and the DS my SES light has not come ownthe dash yet!!
???????

CODE 44

Trouble Code 44 indicates that the O2 sensor is showing a persistently high exhaust oxygen content (lean), despite the efforts of the ECM to increase injector on-time (thus increasing fuel delivered). Integrator and BLM numbers may indicate > 128 by a substantial margin.

The conditions for setting this code are:

no Code 33 or Code 34 (MAF Error) present, and
the O2 sensor voltage remains below 250 mVolts, and
the ECM is in Closed Loop control, and
the above conditions exist for more than 50 seconds.

Typical causes for this code include:

1) O2 sensor defective or lead shorted
2) Lean injectors (dirty or blocked)
3) Water in fuel
4) Exhaust leaks upstream of O2 sensor
5) Fuel pressure or volume too low
6) MAF sensor reading lower airflow than is actually present
7) Vacuum leaks
8) Incorrect or poorly calibrated PROM

Thanks guys I will ck items above ! It may simply be the 02 I have had the scanmaster flash "000" a couple of times here lately.

Ok seems you may have seen this happen before . COOL
Can these still be had @ the dealerships?

Just called list $52.00 said $39.00 out the door.

I may just hook my heated sensor back up for $00.00
I got like 20 brand new 1 wire oxygen sensors a guy gave me like 3 yrs ago. Is it to say any 1 wire sensor will work on our cars? Threads are the same and all. I can get #'s of them and pic!

Not all O2's work the same on our cars. Recommended using AC Delco AFS20. using other brands.... results may vary
