Coil pack question...

I know I have like 20 posts on this site, but I am trying to figure out the "issue(s)" of this car. I was readin some posts with replies from John Spina from Caspers and it brought up a question...

What is the coil pack supposed to say number wise?
While standing in front of the car it says:

4-2-6 on back and
1-5-3 up front

On the hotair sticky it says 1-5-3 on back and
4-2-6 up front.

Are the 87's different? From another post (searched CCCI conversion) one guy with an 84 suggested the coipack was backwards, but the guy with the issue said he had an 87 coil. So does this mean my coil with the 1-5-3 up front is an 87???

Just trying to fix this car. It is pinging under anything above 1/2 throttle!!

Thanks for the replies, and please suggest anything to check, I am brain dead for some reason. Been thinking too hard on this thing!!!

All three of my hotairs all have the stock coil packs on them and they are numbered 1 5 3 in the front and 4 2 6 in the back. Hope this helps.
