Hopefully something will come of the complaint with NC. I can't believe the state of Wis won't investigate a title jumping issue. I know our DOT investigator here in Iowa and they watch that kind of thing even on private transactions. If you state a ridiculous sales price for a vehicle to get around paying taxes they will investigate.
Just a bad deal all around but not the end of the world. Just fix the car and enjoy it. I know money don't grow on tree's and getting lied to is even worse but don't let it consume you. I bought what I thought was a plug and play car off this forum and have spent more on the car fixing the issues the car had when I bought it than I paid for the car.
In my case I don't think the seller knew the motor was eating itself up. I was new to these cars so I didn't know either. If I would have known then what I know now I could have detected it but such is life.

Sorry for casting an evil eye on 1FASTTRASAM. We have seen this kind of thing b/f from idiots. It would have helped if your fiance side something to let us know he was not the scumbag trying to toy with you.
I know this isn't much help, but the tach/boost module not working is a VERY VERY common issue from age. 10 years ago it was extremely uncommon for one to read right. I would guess that at least 99% of them (that haven't been rebuilt by Caspers) are faulty.
I kinda sorta had a run in with this guy a few months ago. He's a real piece of work.
I remember that run in with him Earl and loved it when you put him in his place real quick.He shut his smart ass mouth as soon as you called him out on it.

I did notice that before his Monday morning quarterbacking on the engine Dave built, he loved to jump in on every vendor problem thread with a personal antidote of how he got screwed by that vendor too. Some guys are just surrounded by a funk I guess.

Looks like Larry Pike (or someone of else the same name) has a reputation for being a slimeball since at least 2008, when he went by "Knucklehead" here on the board.
I've never read a positve post from him in vendor feedback, he's always throwing someone under the bus. I even commented about it once saying he must have the worst luck of anyone on TB.com.
To the OP, I hope you are able to exact some sort of fair resolution.

He used to be our friend here in Florida then he moved to NC and now we know why, he's moved many times because he's a coward, hiding, that bastard. We know an elderly couple that he ripped off big time. They are not here in Florida anymore. It's pretty damn sad what he did. We faxed complaint form to the NC DMV Investigator, hopefully they can get that scumbag. Thanks

I love TB.com site! Members on here are pretty much wonderful. The knowledge I have acquired on here has been priceless! I'm pretty sure without this site my car would still be all stock or not running. I have bought parts, made friends and have tried to help others with my limited but growing knowledge. That all being said I cannot understand why the site administrators do not take action against someone that has so many complaints against them. If I'm wrong I apologize in advance. From my vantage point it's not all that hard to get banned or suspended from this site. As long as you don't disrespect the wrong person (ie Heisenberg) or get involved in a thread/dispute where the admin feels you don't belong you're good. So why can someone continuously be a bad vendor, rip people off and nothing is done? I just don't get it.

I have no dog in this fight but the statement above about the elderly couple that no longer lives in Fla sounds a bit odd to me. When was it you bought this car from 1fastcobra? You got to know an elderly couple, then they moved away after you got ripped off?

We've known this elderly couple for many years, they've moved out of Florida a few years ago, I'm talking about they got ripped off many yrs ago,, but he has changed. i just bought this car a month ago. Before I bought this car, i asked him about another car and he knocked it down then told me he has a car but he didn't know his wife wanted to sell it, which was bullshit. He used to be a good guy, i don't know what happened to him. I fell for his lines and got screwed. It don't pay to be a good guy.
