hi,
im wondering if i can reposition the compressor outlet of the 87 turbo by rotating the housing? i dont remember the correct term, maybe clockable?? :confused: thanks for any info.
 
Yes....You can Reclock the housing...Just loosen up (don't remove) the 6 13MM Bolts, and the housing should rotate.


Don't put a whole lot of Torque on them when you tighten them up....The housing is made of soft alum. that likes to strip.
 
ac compressor?
I don't think you can clock that.. Maybe the alternator but not the compressor..

thx a ton guys. another quick one for ya. can i position the outlet any way i like? or is there set spots for it.
 
I thought he meant clogging, like those gingham wrapped, mostly geriatric "dancers" at corn festivals???

If there were enough room, you could spin it 360 degrees to anywhere you like.

However, there ain't. :) If you are using the stock wastegate actuator, the range of adjustment is very limited before you start binding it. Perhaps +/- 10 degrees.
