confused with posi

ok, I have an 87 GN and I do not have the G-80 option. I am not totally sure if the previous owner put a posi in though. When the car is on a lift, you turn one rear wheel one waay,a nd the other wheel turns the other way. I thought that this was the sign of a posi rear?? am I wrong?? When I do burnouts I get only 1 patch of balck. SO no posi???? what unit shoudl I buy?? how much would an install cost?? how many hours would it take for a mechanic to install a posi?? thanks alot.

you dont have a posi. I hear the eaton is a good unit and rebuildable. not sure on cost but im sure some will chime in. the posi rear ends for sale are very expensive(700) you can have yours converted w/ an eaton and new gears probably cheaper and it will be new.
