I just bought my 87 GN last december and i am doing a paint job on it. the whole car is down to bare metal it should be done in a few weeks or so. tody I saw an 87 with really good paint ,perfect interior, and onley 60,000 miles i talked to the guys wife and she said the car is for sale and she said that he will probaly want a little more than 3,000 -4,000 she said he would probaly take 5,000. I dont know what to do. should I take out a loan and buy it or try to forget about it .

Sounds like a steal. Get it checked thoroughly first though because after all, if something is too good to be true it probably is.

You should tell me where it is because I have $5,000.00. :)

:D Yeah, I think that you should have salvageV6 "check it out" for you......

You said the wife said it's for sale?? Are they going thru a 'sudden' divorce?? He get caught cheating or something?

Perhaps there's a $50 Jet Ski for sale tool... and all tools a penny a piece.

off topic, sorry

gn85, I have been seeing a GN driving around the neighborhood recently, a grey turbo regal, too!
Are you back from Germany?

I am not trying to be sexist in any way, but -realistically- there far fewer women who are obsessed with what's out in the garage than men. That being said, there is always the possibility, nay, likelihood that she is grossly mistaken. I'd definitely check into it, though. Years ago I saw a deal almost exactly like this in the Auto Trader and called the guy instantly. Yep, typo....rather than $4,000, it should have read $14,000. But, if all checked out, get the damn loan....heck, pi$$ the neighborhood kids off and mow lawns for that money---whatever you have to do!
