Lurking under my GN today I found 4 wires connected at the main power feed in the starter with inline fuses.

Gladly I found them because they were touching the downpipe!!

What does those wires power?

Any sugestion on re routing them?

I also found the main battery melt.

Any sugestions on how to protect wiring within that area?

Thanks

Fuses, as in fuseable links? Or?
The main batt cable should be routed thru a retainer loop, on the frame.
A common cause of cable melt is the engine mounts are broken, and the engine is rolling over, onto the cable.
Heat sleeve is 1 way to protect the wires.

Stock fuse links. The identical as the one near the battery.

I wonder if I can extend them and use some sort of power distribution box near the firewall or somewhere else.
