I can't leave well enough alone! The motor is out and apart,so I could look at everything.
Wanted advice on cam change. Existing cam is mild, some say for an all out race only car.
Spec. is 240/240@.050,Crane solid roller.
Motor is a 283ci.stageII heads,PT88 turbo
Motor was built by others, and was to be street car for the most part.
Car has very few passes on it,sorting out converter problems.
Thanks
Austin

Well, if you are interested in an upgrade, I have a Comp solid roller kit available. Unfortunately would not work in my stock block 3.8. It is a 248/244 with 0.615 lift [1.55 ratio]. Went with a hydraulic version with slightly less lift at the cam, but almost the same at the valve due to adjustment. Idles at 1050 RPM

Thanks for the offer on your cam.It appears to be to close to what I have, and the change could not be "justified"(like I justify all the other things I have done to this car)!!
I was hoping others would speak about having to get a big cam to make big power, with a turbo motor.
I have heard pro and cons, turbo vs NA,always like to hear other opinions.
Thanks
Austin

Hey Austin, I'll be ready for the nines on the 3rd of february. Are you going to have that motor ready for opening day? It's only about a week away. :D Good luck Tim
