hi guys
budys got his motor out(overhaul, main thrust fialure)
so he had no lock up, discovered previous owner had what looks to be something like a 9" NON LOCK UP IN THERE
it is stamped AC 14930
tried sticking it in the search came up with nothing
didnt feel like it was a high stall in the car, but never really payed attention always assume it was a stocker inthere
so now wooried about converter and also wanting to get the lock up in there ,he has decided to go with a d5,weather stock or higher stall
so two questions are
1 anyone familiar with the converter we found in there? fauilure rates, ballooning???
2. (conversion back to lock up)
we found check ball removed from input shaft and have removed the pump to check l/u clutch valve
are these the only components we need to check to change back to lock up,besides the solenoid, cause that was in there as well
thanks in advance
hoping nothing else is wrong with the tranny that would cause a thrust bearing failure
