Cool intakes?

I was scrolling through some old threads last nite looking at some of the cool sheetmetal intakes from threads as far back as 02. I've seen nothing here lately. I know their pricey but are the ultimate cool factor. Did people just stop using them? Would'nt mind finding an affordable used one thats both benificial and cool looking. Are they just not popular anymore?

I bought a motor with a sheetmetal intake .. ran the same as one without it BUTwe didn't race with it. I like the "nothing" look both engines ran 9.9 @ 138.

Go to the fabrication section and look up Donwg's thread where he made one from scratch. He does incredible work.
