coolant leak

took the gn out yesterday for the first time this year and it ran fine. today i drove it some and when i got home i noticed a little pubble under it when i popped the hood and was looking around it looks like it is coming from the front of the block near the water pump. it is just slightly damp around there. are these motors common for water pumps? or do you guys think it is something else around there?

a water pump can go at any time. you have a hole on i think its the bottom of the pump. its called a weep hole. ive replaced a few water pumps on 3.8 and it was leaking out the weep hole. if its just leaking slowley it wont spray it will trickle down the water pump and flow to where ever it wants to go. your best bet would be to go to autozone and tell them you want to use the coolant system pressure tester. they have it on loan a tool. pump it up to what the radiator cap says the system pressure is and look for the leak.
